Robin L. Deshayes, President and Chief Strategy Officer
Ms. Deshayes co-founded Miltonian in 2010 and serves as its chief executive and market strategist. She investigates, analyzes and researches macro trends in the credit markets with a focus on uncovering new investing opportunities and relative value across credit sectors.  With her extensive business, finance and legal background, she excels at researching and analyzing difficult credit situations, such a municipal bankruptcies. Prior to co-founding Miltonian, Ms. Deshayes served as the primary asset management and legal advisor to a private trust, consulting in a variety of areas including finance, business development, M&A and legal matters. She also served at Pacificor LLC as a business development and marketing consultant focused on the area of mortgage-backed securities. Ms. Deshayes was a key employee at Core Wealth Management LLC, an asset manager specializing in high yield fixed income strategies for high net worth and institutional investors.  There she was involved in a variety of areas, including marketing, legal and compliance, trading, and fund accounting. Prior relevant experience includes senior executive positions at technology and consumer companies.

Ms. Deshayes holds a MBA from Pepperdine University, and a law degree from Loyola Law School, as well as BS in Biology from UCLA. She is a member of the State Bar of California. Ms. Deshayes successfully completed the Series 65 exam.  

Alejandra Folguera, Ph.D, CFA, Chief Investment Officer
Dr. Folguera is co-founder of Miltonian and has served as its Chief Investment Officer since 2010. Doctor of Theoretical Mathematics as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Ms. Folguera is highly capable in the analysis of "big data" asset classes, e.g. asset-backed securities, as well as performing fundamental analysis for corporate and municipal debt. Prior to Miltonian, Dr. Folguera was a Senior Research Analyst at Pacificor LLC and an analyst at Partnervest Advisory Services, LLC. Before joining the financial world, Dr. Folguera was engaged in teaching and research in applied mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Dr. Folguera is a founder and organizer of the CFALA Santa Barbara Group and serves on the Board of Governors of the CFA Society of Los Angeles. She is a member of the CFALA, the American Society of Women Accountants, and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Dr. Folguera is a Chartered Financial Analyst.  She also holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois, and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
